Hopwas Playing Field

A local free publication has recently queried the status of the Playing Field. The Parish Council  confirms that they own the Playing Field, and manage it on behalf of the village to maintain it safely for the use of the children of the parish.

If residents have any queries about this please contact the Clerk.

New Councillor

At the recent meeting of the Parish Council at Comberford Church it was agreed to co-opt Mrs Carol Croft onto the Council. We are delighted to welcome Carol on to the team.  She lives in Wigginton and can be contacted  by any residents wishing to bring local matters to the Council’s attention.

There is still one vacancy on the Parish Council, and anyone interested in applying please contact the Clerk, Mrs Margaret Jones, on 01827 50230. Applicants must be over 18, and live or work in the parish. Training can be given, but a willingness to give up an evening a month to attend a meeting is the main requirement, along with an interest in the local area.   A resident of Comberford would be particularly welcome.
