Polling station advice
Ahead of the district and parish elections on Thursday 2 May 2019, Lichfield District Council is warning voters that, despite receiving a poll card, they may not need to vote for their council representatives due to uncontested seats.
There are a number of wards and parishes where council seats are uncontested. This means that the candidates who put their names forward as part of the nomination process have been automatically elected.
Here both district and parish council seats are uncontested, Whittington & Streethay and Wigginton and Hopwas, so the polling stations at Thomas Barnes School, Hopwas and Church Hall, Wigginton will not be opened.
So do not go along to vote on May 2nd!
